‘Cases’ are tools used by mould makers to reproduce the ‘working moulds’ required by potteries to manufacture ceramic production runs. CP Ceramics only make Cases from silicone rubber which is the premium material for the job. Silicone rubber is easily transportable, does not break or chip and lasts for many years. If you are going to need more than three working moulds or you are working from a clay model you will need to make a Case of your block mould. This means that as moulds wear out through repeated use they can be reproduced and the basic means of manufacturing the shape is preserved.
